GMC Urban Flow Concept

The GMC Urban Flow Concept is a design study of a futuristic vehicle with a sculptural look inspired by bird nests. The author is Thomas Biedermann from the Braunschweig University of Art.

This sleek crossover was developed by Thomas Biedermann as a Diplom project in 2011/2012 at the Braunschweig University of Art (HBK – Hochschule für Bildende Künste), based in Braunschweig, Germany.

The design originated from the interior design, which takes inspiration from bird nests. The envisioned background is an overgrown megacity of the year 2030.

As Thomas explains, “the originally chaotic structure of the nest dissolves into a flow. […] This kind of dissolving structure visualizes the loss of the human dimension and creates an inexplicable sculpture.”
