share on BufferThe Audi Stromlinie 75 Concept pays homage to the Type C Streamline and to legendary racing driver Bernd Rosemeyer, who was killed on an Auto Union during a land speed record attempt on the Autobahn on January 28, 1938.
The concept maintains the general proportions and volumes of the original car, with the muscular shoulders and wheel covers, adding a modern, sharp character line that runs along the entire vehicle, dividing it into an upper and a lower section.
The main dimensions of the car are a wheelbase of 2650 mm, a length of 4,795 mm, a width of 2,000 mm and a height of 1,090 mm, while the 18-inch wheels are fitted with 235/40 tires at the front and 285/35 tires at the rear.
The rear end features a retractable spoiler which – when in rest position – doesn’t break the body clean and essential shapes.
The hypothetic underlying drivetrain derives from the Audi R8 e-Tron.
The concept was created using the original drawings of the Type C as well as a 1:18 scale model as 3D reference.
