share on BufferWith proportions inspired by the open sportscars of the 1960s, the Puritalia 427 is 4.35 meters long, 1.95 meters wide and 1.25 meters tall, while the wheelbase is 2.60 meters.
The car will be built by Naples-based Puritalia with a bespoke customer-centric approach, where the client will be “actively involved in the specification and building process of the car”.
The car is based on an aluminum semi-monocoque with Chromoly steel tubular subframes, while the body is made of carbon fiber panels.
The 427 was penned by Italian designer Fabio Ferrante who commented: “A tough challenge: evoke the classic American muscle cars spirit, enhanced by modern design and inspired by the taste and the elegance of the Italian style. Without meddling with the legendary roadsters of the swinging sixties, even though this is mainly a tribute to them. “
“The 427’s design is an harmonic contrast between elegance and aggression. It’s the outcome of a development effort carried out in parallel with the design of the chassis and mechanical components. A unique style, a sort of skin that seamless surrounds all components hidden inside.”
The Puritalia 427 will be powered by a front-mounted 5.0 liter V8 engine, offered in both naturally aspired and turbocharged versions, delivering 445/65 HP and 530/640 Nm of torque.
The units are matched to a 6 speed manual gearbox and a rear-wheel drive transmission and the total weight is limited to just 1.090 kg, with a 50:50 front/rear axle distribution.
The suspension system features front and rear double wishbones with anti-dive and anti-squat geometry – two-way adjustable mono-tube shock absorbers and adjustable stabilizer bars.
