We are pleased to announce the results of our Remote Explorer vehicle design contest, sponsored by CGMA (you can check all the submitted entries here).
The contest winner is Luke Robus, a Motorcycle design student at Coventry University, who created “The Ark” – an Ultra.Large.Scientific.Exploration.Vehicle (U.L.S.E.V).
Luke wins the Vehicle and Mechs 8-weeks online Master Class, organized by CGMA and taught by concept designer Paul Christopher.
“The Ark” was selected by a jury made of Car Body Design and CGMA’s teams.
Luke managed to create an iconic and bold vehicle as well as a powerful and convincing cinematic shot.
Paul Christopher commented: “I liked the creativity applied to the design overall. When looking at the concept, one gets a sense that it was finely crafted for a definite mission purpose.”
He also underlined the strong graphic read as well as the strong draftsmanship of the artwork. All this earned Luke the contest’s prize.
Thanks to CGMA’s support, we are also happy to announce two more winners: Vojtech Stransky and Simon Jody Lazzari, who placed second and third, and will respectively receive:
- Vojtech Stransky: a $200 discount for Paul’s Master Class or, alternatively, a set of two online workshops
- Simon Jody Lazzari: a $100 discount for Paul’s Master Class or, alternatively, a set of two online workshops
In case they opt for the online workshops, they’ll be able to choose among the wide offer of products available at cgmwonline.com.
