Hot Wheels teams up with crowdfunding company for next toy car design

Mattel has partnered with crowdsourcing organization Quirky forseeking ideas and designs for some of its most famous brands, including the Hot Wheels die-cast toy cars.


Quirky is an organization that aims at soliciting product ideas and inventions from anyone on the internet, in exchange of royalties from future sales.

The partnership with Mattel includes several world-renown brands, like Fischer Price, Barbie and Hot Wheels.

The latter, in particular, could offer an interesting opportunity for car and toy designers to submit their vision for an original new product.
